Study Time...

Study Time is Great!

Ok, who am I kidding? I like Study Time because it means time off work - it means time for ME! It usually consists of cleaning, cooking, baking, being creative, and generally avoiding the stack of books that I'm actually supposed to be studying.

After work drinks last night (where I ate so much cheese), my first official study-assigned time was this morning. So, I've done laundry, I've cleaned my room (a little - I don't want to do it all at once, you see), I've been down to the post shop, the warehouse, and two supermarkets. I did actually go to the video store, to pick up a movie in Spanish, which I need for my oral exam on Friday. But, of course, I couldn't decide which movie to get, so I got four. And then, since you can get five for the same price as four, i got an extra movie. It isn't in Spanish though - so of course it's the first movie I want to watch!

The weather isn't very nice here though, so it is encouraging me to be inside at least - which brings me to my TIP OF THE DAY.

Today's 'Tip of the Day' relates to milk. And what to do when you have way too much of it. All three of us who live here (at New Old House in Hataitai, Wellington) went grocery shopping on the same day last week... and we all bought milk. Luckily, we just bought a litre each, or else the problem would be much bigger than it is. You see, we don't really drink milk. We use about a teaspoon a week each. So we still need milk, but it usually gets pretty close to the best before date before it gets used. And yes, I admit I've employed the 'sniff-test' for milk around this time. And maybe a couple of days after. (!)

So today Kat and I went to the supermarket and came across Sip-ahh Straws (yes, classy name huh?).

Yes, we bought all three flavours that were at the supermarket. We couldn't choose just one!
Anyway, you put the straw into a glass of the regular milk, and it turns it into flavoured! It's an Australian company, but I won't hold that against them. Basically it convinced both Kat and I to have some very large glasses of milk after we got back. Which is good. I'm a fan of calcium.

And the best part? Check out how happy that little cow is! You don't often see a smile that wide in your everyday life. Although - Kat and I both looked a little like that after our first Sip-ahh experience (Caramel for both of us). Unfortunately I didn't get a pic of our cheesy (milky) grins, but I'm guessing there'll be a few more opportunities. After all, there's ten straws in each box!

Yeah, Claire! Welcome to real-life blogging...back and forth comments. =) Cute cow. And you want to know what? My sister had a kitten named 'Enzo' too. Total shoe-lover is she. Happy studying. That's what Rachael is doing right now...I'm eating a BLT. =) See ya around!
